Configure Axonaut
Get your Axonaut API key to connect Order Invoicer
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that:
- You have an active Axonaut account
- You have administrator access to your Axonaut workspace
- Your plan includes access to the Axonaut API
Get your API key
Order Invoicer needs an API key to connect to your Axonaut account.
Open your Axonaut settings
- Log in to your Axonaut account at axonaut.com
- Click your avatar in the top right
- Go to Settings > API (or Developer area)
Retrieve your API key
- On the API settings page, you'll see your API key already generated
- If no key is displayed, click Generate an API key
- Copy the full key
Each Axonaut account has a unique API key. If you want to revoke or regenerate the key, you can do so from this same page.
The API key grants access to all of your Axonaut data. Never share it and keep it in a safe place.
Enter your key in Order Invoicer
From the Axonaut connection form in Order Invoicer, paste your API key into the API Key field.
The connector will automatically validate your key by querying the Axonaut API.
Troubleshooting
"Invalid credentials" error
- Check that the key was copied in full
- Make sure there are no spaces at the beginning or end of the string
- Check that the key was not regenerated from your Axonaut account (the old key then becomes invalid)
"Access denied" error
- Check that your Axonaut plan includes API access
- Contact Axonaut support to upgrade your plan if needed
- Check that your Axonaut account is not blocked: Axonaut then answers "Account is blocked." and refuses every request. Contact Axonaut support to unblock it
Sync prices and names from Axonaut to WooCommerce
When you change a product's price or name in Axonaut, Order Invoicer can update the product with the same SKU in your WooCommerce store. Turn on the Products from your invoicing software card in your connector's workflows, with the Synchronize unit price and Synchronize name options (Growth plan and above).
- The update runs every hour: Axonaut does not notify Order Invoicer when a product changes. You can also start it by hand from the Products page.
- Only the prices and names that differ are changed. Products are matched on their SKU, which is the product code or the internal reference in Axonaut.
- Axonaut stores prices excluding tax. If your store enters prices including tax, Order Invoicer adds the VAT rate of the product's tax class.
- Products on sale keep their price, so their regular price is not replaced by the sale price.
- A variation's name is not changed: WooCommerce builds it from its attributes.
- No product is created in the store.
