Configure Evoliz

Get your Evoliz API credentials to connect Order Invoicer

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure that:

  • You have an active Evoliz account
  • You have administrator access or sufficient rights to enable connectors and generate API keys
  • Your Evoliz plan includes API access

Get your API credentials

Order Invoicer needs three pieces of information to connect to your Evoliz account:

  1. Your company ID (Company ID)
  2. A public key (Public Key)
  3. A secret key (Secret Key)

Enable the Evoliz API connector

  1. Log in to your Evoliz account
  2. Go to Applications > Available connectors
  3. Look for the Evoliz API connector (use the "API" tag to find it quickly)
  4. Click Enable

If you don't see the API connector in the list, check that your Evoliz plan includes this feature, or contact Evoliz support.

Generate your API keys

From the Evoliz API connector page:

  1. Click Generate new credentials
  2. Give it a descriptive name (e.g. Order Invoicer)
  3. Evoliz then displays two values:
    • A public key (Public Key)
    • A secret key (Secret Key)
  4. Copy these two values immediately

The secret key is only displayed once. If you lose it, you will need to generate a new key pair from the Evoliz interface.

Retrieve your company ID

Your Evoliz company ID uniquely identifies your account:

  1. From any Evoliz page, click the ? in the top right of the interface
  2. A help window opens with your account information
  3. Note your company ID (a numeric identifier)

The company ID is also visible in the URL of some Evoliz pages, or in your company settings.

Enter your credentials in Order Invoicer

From the Evoliz connection form in Order Invoicer, enter:

  • Company ID: your numeric Evoliz identifier
  • Public key: the public key generated in step 2
  • Secret key: the secret key generated in step 2

The connector will automatically validate your credentials by querying the Evoliz API.

Troubleshooting

"Invalid credentials" error

  • Check that all three fields are filled in correctly
  • Make sure the public key and secret key were not truncated during copy-paste
  • Check that the company ID matches the Evoliz account the keys were generated on

"Access denied" error

  • Check that the Evoliz API connector is enabled on your account
  • Make sure your Evoliz plan includes API access

The keys no longer work

  • Keys can be revoked from the Evoliz interface; check that they are still active
  • If a key has been revoked, generate a new pair and update your credentials in Order Invoicer
