Automatically turn your Shopify orders into Abby invoices, estimates and credit notes

The Abby connector automatically turns your Shopify orders into Abby documents. As soon as an order is placed on your store, Order Invoicer creates the matching document in Abby, reconciles the customer and syncs products — with no manual work.

Installation

To complete the full installation, you need both a Shopify account and an Abby account.

Install the Shopify app

Click the link above, choosing the store on which to install the connector.

Install from the Shopify marketplace

Once installed, the app will be visible from your Shopify admin under "Apps and sales channels" > "Abby".

Get your Abby API key

Log in to your Abby account
Go to Settings > Integrations
Create a new API key
Copy the displayed key (format suk-*****)

Keep your API key in a safe place. If you lose it, you will need to revoke it and create a new one from the integration settings.

Connect Abby

From the Shopify app, paste your Abby API key into the field provided for that purpose.

The connector will automatically validate your credentials by querying the Abby API.

Configure your workflows

Set up the rules for converting your orders into Abby documents:

Document type: invoice or estimate
Status: draft or validated (estimates can also be signed)
Customer matching: customers are automatically reconciled by email. B2B orders create an organization, B2C orders a contact

Refunds and payments are also handled automatically: a Shopify refund generates an Abby credit note, and captured payments are recorded in your income book.

Activate your subscription

To allow the workflows to run properly, you need to activate your trial period.

Choose the right "Standard" or "Pro" subscription on Shopify.

Once the trial ends, the connector's billing will be integrated directly into your Shopify store invoice.

You can change your plan at any time from the app's configuration on Shopify:

"Apps and sales channels" > "Abby" > "Plan" > "Manage".

Check the conversion of your orders

Conversions are performed instantly (a few minutes' wait at most).

Customers (contacts and organizations) already present in Abby are reconciled automatically by email
Tax information is retrieved from Shopify, so make sure it is configured correctly
Products are synced with your Abby catalog using their reference

Configuration

You can change the connector's settings at any time.

Once you are satisfied with the connector, you can convert your orders into finalized invoices.
