Workflows
Draft orders
Create estimates, sales orders or proformas from draft orders
Shopify draft orders, and Jotform, Typeform and Google Forms submissions, can create a document in your invoicing software automatically. These workflows are available from the Growth plan.
- Estimates: with Sellsy, choose their status; with Sellsy and Pennylane, ask for an e-signature.
- Sales orders (Sellsy): choose the rate category, the document model and layout, and the subject and notes, with tags such as
#order_identifier#. They take the status chosen in the Sales orders from orders workflow: emailing is only offered when that status is validated or accepted. - Proforma invoices (Sellsy and Pennylane): emailed to the customer with Pennylane.
For each, draft orders created before the start date are ignored.
When the draft order becomes an order
A completed Shopify draft order becomes an order. If the draft order has an estimate, Order Invoicer finds it for that order's invoice:
- Sellsy: the invoice is linked to the estimate, as when the estimate is converted to an invoice in Sellsy.
- The
#estimate_identifier#tag shows the estimate number in the invoice subject and notes, with any invoicing software. It stays empty when the order doesn't come from a draft order with an estimate. - To give Shopify time to report the original draft order, the invoice of such an order can be created up to 3 minutes later.
